News

News posts are short updates. Open News in the dashboard to list, search and filter them by status.

Writing a post

Select New news post. A post has a title, a rich-text body, an address, a category, a featured image URL and SEO fields. The address fills in from the title until you edit it, and it must be unique for your station.

Drafts and publishing

Save draft keeps a post private. Publish makes it live. Publishing stamps the current time unless you chose a publication date. A future date shows the post as Scheduled until that moment.

Preview saved version shows the last saved draft, so save your changes first.

Published posts appear on your website at /news. Drafts and future-dated posts stay hidden, and their addresses answer as if they did not exist.

For a featured image, upload it to the Media Library and paste its URL.

Who can do what

Editors, administrators and owners can publish and change anything. Presenters can write drafts and edit their own, and an editor publishes them. See Permissions.

Safe content

Everything you write is sanitized on the server when saved and again when shown. Scripts, embedded frames, inline styles and unsafe links are removed.
