Now Playing

Once connected, the dashboard overview, Now Playing and Station Overview show the current track, artwork, playback progress, live DJ, listener count and whether the station is on air. Now Playing also shows the next track when AzuraCast has queued one.

How it updates

The dashboard asks the Auvyra server every 15 seconds, pausing while the tab is hidden. The server caches each station's response for 10 seconds, so many open tabs do not multiply requests to AzuraCast.

Progress

AzuraCast's own docs note that its elapsed value can be stale because responses are cached. Auvyra calculates progress from when the track started instead.

Peak listeners

AzuraCast's now-playing data does not include a peak figure. Auvyra works out the peak from its own readings instead. See Analytics.
