Discord and Webhooks
Announce shows, live DJs and new posts in your community.
Auvyra can post to a Discord channel, or to any app that takes a webhook, such as Zapier or Make, whenever something happens on your station. Set it up under Integrations, in Discord and webhooks.
What it can announce
| Announcement | When it goes out |
|---|---|
| A show starts | When a show on your schedule begins |
| A live DJ goes on air | When someone connects to AzuraCast to broadcast live |
| News or an article is published | When a post goes live, including one scheduled for later |
| The station goes off air, or comes back | When Auvyra's five-minute check sees the stream stop or return |
Each announcement goes out once, even across restarts. Posts published before a webhook was added are never sent to it, so connecting a channel does not flood it with old stories.
Connecting Discord
- In Discord, open your channel's settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, and create one.
- Select Copy Webhook URL.
- In Auvyra, choose Discord, paste the address, tick what to announce, and select Save webhook.
- Select Send a test. A message appears in your channel.
Announcements use your station's name and color. Mentions such as @everyone are switched off, so a post title can never ping your whole server.
Other apps
Choose Other app (JSON), and Auvyra sends a JSON body like this:
{
"event": "post.published",
"station": "Night Harbor FM",
"title": "New Transmitter Online",
"description": "We are now broadcasting from the harbor wall.",
"url": "https://radio.example.com/news/new-transmitter-online",
"imageUrl": null,
"sentAt": "2026-11-03T18:00:00.000Z"
}event is one of show.started, live.started, post.published, station.air or test.
Security
A webhook address works like a password, so Auvyra encrypts it and never shows it again. Addresses on private networks are refused unless AZURACAST_ALLOW_PRIVATE_NETWORKS is true, whether they are written as a name or as numbers, and redirects are never followed. Cloud metadata addresses, such as 169.254.169.254, are always refused. You can have up to five webhooks. Owners and administrators manage them.
