Site Builder

Design your whole public website with drag and drop.

Open Site Builder from the dashboard. It fills the window, with your real website in the middle. It needs a screen at least as wide as a small laptop.

Your changes save as a draft by themselves, and visitors see nothing until you select Publish. Undo and Redo cover everything, and Discard throws the draft away.

Starting from a design

Starters has five ready-made designs: Classic station, Club night, Community radio, News and talk, and Minimal. Each sets your colors, fonts, style and homepage layout. Your words, pictures and the sections you built stay as they are, and Undo brings your old look back.

Adding sections

Open Add and drag a design onto the page. A line shows where it will land. You can also click a design to add it to the end, and the search box finds one by name.

Radio, Community and Stories sections stay live, so they update by themselves on any page.

The support section links to wherever you take donations, such as PayPal, Ko-fi or Patreon. Auvyra never handles money, so you type in the amount raised yourself.

Embed code runs in a sealed frame, so it cannot touch the rest of your site. A map loads from Google when someone opens the page.

Images

Every image field has a Choose button. Pick from your Media Library, or upload a new image on the spot.

Editing on the page

  • Click a section to select it. Its settings appear on the right.
  • Click text in a section you added, and type.
  • Drag the grip on a selected section to move it, or use the arrows. The same bar can copy or delete it.

Click the header, footer or top band to change those too. Built-in sections, such as Latest news, can be renamed and moved. Deleting one hides it, and you can bring it back from Add.

On your homepage, sections can sit full width, in the main column or in the sidebar. On any other page, you can place a section above or below the page's own content.

Section settings

Each section you add has a background, alignment and spacing. Select More options for the rest:

  • Width and Text color
  • Animation, so it rises or fades in as it scrolls into view
  • Show on, for computers and tablets only, or phones only
  • Show from and Show until, so a section can run for a season without anyone remembering to remove it
  • Link name, so a menu link can jump straight to it, as /page#name

Built-in sections have the same Show on and date settings.

Reusing sections

Save for reuse keeps a section under Add, ready to place on any page. Copy to another page puts a copy there straight away.

Other pages

Use the page menu at the top to edit any page, including ones you wrote under Pages. The Page tool changes a built-in page's title and description, or hides it. A hidden page answers as not found, and leaves your menu and sitemap.

Search and sharing sets a page's own title and description for search results and shared links.

Adding a page

Under Page, name your new page and select Add page. It starts as a draft that only you can see in the builder. Add sections to it, write its text, and tick Visible on your website when it is ready. That takes effect at once, without publishing the rest of your draft.

The other tools

  • Menu edits your header menu, including dropdowns. See Navigation.
  • Theme has color themes, your own colors, corners, brand colors, typography, your logo and your tagline. Until you add a logo, your site shows the Auvyra mark in your colors.
  • Design sets the site's width and spacing, button and card styles, section headings, separate heading and body fonts, the player bar, the audio bars, a background image or pattern, and scroll effects.
  • Header has the announcement bar, header layout, logo size, buttons and footer.
  • Extras has your contact details, a welcome popup and a cookie notice.
  • Features turns listener features on or off, and has the embed code for your player.
  • Advanced has custom CSS, which applies to your public website only and cannot contain <.

Going back

Every publish is kept under History, up to your last 20. Open loads one into your draft, so nothing changes for visitors until you publish it, and Undo takes you back to where you were.

Export saves your whole design as a file, and Import brings one in from another Auvyra site. An imported design also lands in your draft.

Previewing

Select Preview to hide the tools and click around your draft as a visitor would, at desktop, tablet or phone size. Zoom fits the page to your screen, or shows it at a set size. The arrow beside Preview opens the draft in its own tab.

Forms do nothing in a preview, so testing cannot send a real message. Other buttons are live, so a song request or a like made in a preview is real. The popup and cookie notice only appear on your published site.
